Introduction to this Self-Healing Meditation

Hi, this is Julia. Welcome to this guided meditation and hypnosis session that will help you activate your body’s self-healing powers.

Have you ever thought about what a miracle your body is? How easy it is for your body to organize and reorganize itself? Just think of all the trillions of cells that make you you. How marvellously they are coordinated and structured. You are a miraculous organism and all your cells work hand in hand to keep your body’s functions stable and healthy. Your body has a natural tendency to heal itself. When you get a small cut, you can even watch your body repair itself and watch it sealing the wound to stop it from bleeding.

Your body has immense self-healing powers and you can enhance them even more with the power of your mind. Everything in our universe is energy and so is your body, but also your thoughts, and your emotions. Your thoughts and the emotions that arise from your thoughts are very powerful and they influence your body all the time.

Whatever you tell yourself over and over again is what your mind will accept as the truth, and it will influence your body accordingly.

So, whatever it is that troubles your health at the time being, the trick is to convince your subconscious mind of your body’s powerful healing capabilities and to let go of any doubt that it could be otherwise.

Expressing gratitude for your body even if there is something that is bothering you at the moment is another important factor that this meditation and self-hypnosis is going to address. Your body is such a magnificent system. Be gentle and forgiving towards your body, and be grateful for all the billions of things it is doing every second to keep your organism working. The guided meditation and hypnotherapy techniques used here will help you relax and help you tap into your subconscious mind. They help you to replace old, limiting beliefs with new, empowering ones so that your body supports any medical treatment you are receiving with its own healing powers.

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis, so you are always absolutely in control. You can decide which suggestions you want to accept, which ones to modify, and which ones to reject. You are not asleep during hypnosis, but you are in a focused, highly receptive state of mind that makes you open to positive suggestions. Should you fall asleep, though, don’t worry. You will still benefit from the positive suggestions.

Induction to the Self-Healing Meditation

Now make yourself comfortable. Lie down on your back, straighten out your legs and position them hip-width apart.

Let your arms rest gently by your side. Focus your eyes on a spot on the ceiling above you, even if it is dark in your room.

Choose a spot that is a few degrees above your eye level, but keep your neck relaxed and in a straight line with your spine.

I will guide you through five deep breaths to deepen your relaxation.

So, take a deep breath in, hold it, and let it go. Take another deep breath in, hold it, let it go. And again. Take a deep breath in, hold it, and let it go. One more time. Take a deep breath in, hold it, and let it go. One last time. Take a deep breath in, hold it, and let it go.

Find your own, comfortable, slow and deep rhythm of breathing. With each breath, breathe in positivity, relaxation and calmness. Let go of stress, tension and anxiety each time you breathe out until all you feel inside is calmness and relaxation. You can return to your duties later. They don’t need your attention right now. Your eyelids feel heavier and heavier, and you might wish to close your eyes now. You deserve this time, and there is nothing to do right now but to relax.

Visualize a silvery cloud of glowing mist slowly descend from above. It gently touches your forehead.

It feels warm and comforting, and the muscles of your forehead soften at its touch.

Feel the soft glowing mist move further down along your face. Feel it relaxing the muscles around your eyes, your cheeks and your mouth. Your jaw is so relaxed. The silvery cloud of relaxation now expands along your neck and your shoulders, washing away all tension and replacing it with pure relaxation.

As it moves down your arms, they feel so at ease and so heavy all the way down to your fingertips. The silvery mist now expands down your chest and your back, and all the way down to your hips covering you with calmness and peacefulness.

Your body gets heavier and heavier as the cloud of relaxation envelops your thighs, your calves and your feet.

You’re completely surrounded by the soft misty cloud.

Every part of your body is so at ease, so relaxed and so calm. You are safe and protected.

Your bed underneath you supports you and holds you.

I’m going to count down from 10, and with each descending number, your relaxation deepens.

10. You are so calm and relaxed.

9. Your mind is so at ease.

8. You drift deeper and deeper into relaxation.

7. You feel so peaceful and calm.

6. Your body feels heavier and heavier.

5. You feel so deeply relaxed.

Deepening the Self-Healing Meditation

Your body feels so relaxed that you don’t even notice all the amazing things it is doing right now, and actually always, to keep your organism healthy.

Your heart is such a strong muscle and it is doing such a great job at keeping your blood cycling through your body.

It makes sure that all parts of your body, from the top of your head down to the tip of your toes, get all the nutrients and oxygen they need.

Feel how your fingers tingle, and your toes.

It’s the energy your heart sends through all of your body.

Imagine your heart glowing in a color that appeals most to you,

and imagine your heart sending out wave after wave of energy, oxygen and nutrients with every beat. Notice how your lungs fill with fresh air every time you breathe in, and how they let go of everything your body doesn’t need anymore every time you breathe out.

See in your mind’s eye how with every breath you take, your lungs absorb so many oxygen molecules into your bloodstream.

New oxygen that your heart then sends through all of your body.

Imagine the oxygen molecules are glowing in the same color as your heart.

With every heartbeat, they are circulating through your body.

Visualize your body glowing all over.

See it, and feel the energy coursing through your body.

Every cell of your body gets all the oxygen it requires and all the nutrients it needs to function perfectly.

Fruits, vegetables, grains and all the other clean and healthy foods you eat during the day, they are packed with all the nutrients your body needs to build new, healthy cells and to repair any cells that are in need of repairing.

Visualize how the nutrients in your bloodstream are integrated into your cells all over your body.

Feel how much stronger and how much more resilient they become.

Activating Your Body's Self-Healing Mechanisms

Your immune system produces special types of cells that protect your body against anything that doesn’t belong there. Your immune cells grow stronger and more efficient as well each time they receive new nutrients and energy.

They patrol through your body, keeping all your other cells safe and secure, like your own personal army of bodyguards. Imagine them glowing as well, in another color, a color that represents protection and safety to you.

Focus on how all your cells are benefiting from oxygen and nutrients, and while you are doing this, try to identify one part of your body that you feel needs some extra loving attention and some extra help in healing and repairing itself. Scan your body for a few moments, from the outside and from the inside. Look for any area that appears dark or doesn’t glow as brightly with oxygen and nutrients as the rest of your body.

Now focus on that part of your body that you have identified. Visualize this area. Can you spot the places that don’t glow as brightly with oxygen, nutrients and energy as the rest of your body? Zoom in on those areas with your mind’s eye.

Can you see the edges of the area? Are they fuzzy? Or are they sharp?

Can you see the blocks that keep oxygen and nutrients from flowing to this area?

Acknowledge it, and focus on the spot with love and compassion.

Now concentrate on your immune cells, those powerful bodyguards. With the power of your mind, call these glowing helpers to the area you are focused on.

See them move in on the dim spots, docking onto the blocks around it.

Visualize them break down block after block, making way for oxygen, nutrients and positive energy to finally flow to this part of your body again, with every beat of your heart.

See in your mind’s eye how your brightly glowing immune cells dissolve all the blocks into tiny pieces, and how they swallow all of them, one by one, piece by piece, leaving no trace of them at all. See the edges of the dim spot in your body become fuzzier and fuzzier and lighter and lighter.

The spot becomes smaller and smaller, and more and more oxygen and nutrients flow into the area. The cells that were blocked from this life-giving flow before are absorbing all the healthy components they now have access to again, and they restore themselves. They grow stronger and stronger, and healthier and healthier by the second.

They completely heal and work the way nature intends them to work. They function perfectly.

Visualize your body repairing itself for a couple of moments. Watch your immune cells doing their work, watch your energy, nutrients and oxygen flow, and watch all your cells completely heal and restore themselves.

This area of your body is almost completely healed now. Watch the last dim bits disappear and the last cells heal themselves.

Send all your love and gratitude through your body. Give thanks to your immune system, to your organs, and to each and every cell in your body.

Affirmations for Self-Healing

You feel so refreshed and relieved and so healthy. All of your body feels refreshed and healthy. All your cells and organs work perfectly and in harmony with each other. Energy, oxygen and nutrients can flow freely through your body, reaching every single cell, making sure every cell gets everything it needs to stay healthy. Bask in this feeling for a few moments.

Now before you embrace deep, restorative sleep for the rest of the night, remember it is the transformation of your thoughts and beliefs that causes the transformation of your body. Take a long, deep breath in, and let it go.

Feel the bed underneath you support your weight. Be gently aware of your body, and send another wave of love and compassion through all of your cells.

While you let sleep come to you, let the following affirmations flow through your subconscious mind. Repeat them to yourself. You can speak them loudly, or you can whisper them inside your mind.

Follow these affirmations until sleep embraces you, and then let them simply continue to sink into your subconscious mind.

My body is a miracle.

I love my body. I have the power to heal myself.

My immune system is strong and it protects me.

I am so grateful for my wonderful body.

I am healthy through and through. My body was designed to be well.

I eat clean and healthy food to provide my body with everything it needs to stay healthy.
